Van C. Gholston, Counsel

Van C. Gholston

Van was raised in Bullock County, Alabama, and obtained his BS from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama, his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University, New York City, New York.

Van's 30 years of legal experience includes serving as Tax Counsel for the Arabian American Oil Company in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, for several years, serving as District Attorney for Butler, Crenshaw and Lowndes Counties in Alabama for eighteen years, and being engaged in the general practice of law for the balance of his career. Van is currently practicing law with the law firm of Haygood, Cleveland, Pierce, Mattson & Thompson, LLP, in Auburn, Alabama.

Van's areas of practice include business transactions, corporations and limited liability companies, elder law, wills and estates, probate practice and real estate.
