What is the flippin' good deeds Challenge?

The flippin’ good deeds Challenge is a program for bloggers to encourage their communities to clean out their closets and donate gently worn footwear. Collect as many shoes as you can and blog about your “flippin’ good deeds” and experiences from September 6, 2011 to November 15, 2011 for a chance to win a trip for two on one of our international distribution trips*!

Why are shoes important?

Footwear is a first step in helping people in impoverished areas live healthy, productive lives. Footwear can help eliminate the spreading of diseases through the foot as well as help children obtain an education - as many schools have footwear requirements to attend. How does it work?

  1. Sign up for the flippin’ good deeds Challenge and collect shoes! We'll send you boxes and materials, all you need to do is collect shoes and send us your tally weekly! (To sign up, click the Get started button below and choose flippin’ good deeds Challenge in the pull down menu on the shoe drive sign-up page).
  2. Write a blog post about your shoe drive experiences and your “flippin’ good deeds.” You must include the key words “flippin’ good deeds” in the context of your post and incorporate a link to www.soles4souls.org and www.flipflopwines.com.
  3. Complete the Blogger Donation Form and send your shoes to Soles4Souls!  Check out the FAQs for ways to send your shoes to Soles4Souls.

Winner Selection:

The  top 5 bloggers who collect the most amount of shoes will be entered into the Final Round.  A panel of judges will review the blog entries of the finalists, and the finalist with the best blog post about their “flippin’ good deeds” will win a trip for two (2) with Soles4Souls on an international mission trip of their choice (excluding Africa and India), where they will experience first-hand what it is like to provide a pair of shoes to someone in need.

  • Launch Date: September 6, 2011
  • Drive End Date: November 15, 2011
  • Results announced on November 30, 2011
  • Winner travels: February 2012 - December 2012
  • Shoes must be in Alabama warehouse by November 15, 2011
  • Shoes can be shipped periodically but a Blogger Donation Form must be attached to shipment.
  • Entrants must be 21 years of age or older at the time of entry
  • Leader board will be updated weekly on website beginning October 1, 2011

* Excluding Africa and India. No purchase or consumption necessary to enter or win. A purchase or payment of any kind will not increase your chances of winning. Void in CA and other states where prohibited or restricted by law. Subject to complete official rules.
