Barefoot4Haiti project is a success
To the editor:
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church would like to thank everyone who donated both gently used and new shoes for the Barefoot4Haiti program.
A total of 620 pairs of shoes were collected on our porch and, with the help of New Balance North Jersey on Route 17 and Soles4Souls, appropriate footwear has been forwarded to those in Haiti struggling to recover from the earthquake as well as to victims of disasters which have occurred in other parts of the world and to people in need everywhere.
Please check your local papers for more on Holy Trinity’s monthly ministries or check our front porch for the "From the Porch" project of the month. Again, we welcome your participation in these ongoing ministries; and, after our Barefoot4Haiti shoe collection, we know from experience that, in small ways, together, we can make a big difference!
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 92 Burton Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights. Sunday morning services begin at 9 a.m. with coffee following the service. Sunday School will resume in September. If you’d like more information, call 201-288-6889.
