-
How do I start a chapter at my school?
Starting a club can seem overwhelming, but here at Soles4Souls we have gathered all the materials necessary to make starting a club easier. Visit Guidelines to learn how to get started.
-
Can anyone start a chapter? Are there any requirements?
Anyone at a school may start a club. We do request you fill out an application so we can learn more about you and how you found out about Soles4Souls.
-
What responsibilities would I hold in creating a Soles4Souls chapter on my campus?
Your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that your club meets all school regulations
- Planning and orchestrating events and fundraisers
- Having regular club meetings
-
How many people do I have to get join my chapter?
This varies from school to school and chapter to chapters. Some chapters work best with a small close group of people, others need large membership in order to reach out to the entire campus. Find what works for you and decide what would be best at your school. Be aware that some schools have size requirements, so be sure to check with your school.
-
In order to be a chapter, what do we have to do?
Complete the application form and keep continued correspondence with Soles4Souls.
To be an active chapter, you should have yearly donation drives and fundraisers.
-
Does it cost anything to sign up as a member or as a chapter?
No, It does not cost to sign up and there is no membership fee required by Soles4Souls; you may place a suggested donation on your chapter if you choose, however, this money should only be used for a Soles4Souls related cost, orchestrating events, or as a donation to Soles4Souls; and must be tracked at www.soles4soulsfundraising.org.
-
Do I write a constitution for the chapter at my school, or is there a standard piece already written?
There is a generic Soles4Souls charter that you can download and complete. If you need to alter more of it to fit your campus, you may rewrite it, but please get approval by Soles4Souls on the final charter. You may contact David Graben to receive final approval.
-
Does our chapter need a faculty sponsor?
This depends mostly on your school. In order to be school sponsored, some schools require a staff advisor; we do not require one unless requested by the school; however, it may be beneficial to have one regardless.

Yes. You must have a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Director of Membership. In addition, you may choose to have offices such as treasurer or historian. A description for these positions can be found in the sample charter.
