Overview
Tanzania was created by the union of the former colonial territory of Tanganyika and Zanzibar. Dar es Salaam is the country’s capital and most important port.
On our way to Tanzania we will be spending a day and night in Amsterdam and experience the culture in various ways. Your hotel room in Amsterdam will be covered in the trip cost. However, participants will need to be extra funds to cover meals, transportation, etc. while we are in Amsterdam.
While in Tanzania we will be visiting Dar es Salaam, Kigoma, and Gombe. Soles4Souls has partnered with Mbali Mbali, where we will be lodging and distributing shoes to the local schools and orphanages. This trip will consist of shoe and clothing distributions, spending time in the local community, activities with Mbali Mbali, and playing with the children.
Prior to your trip you will receive a detailed informational packet that includes a detailed itinerary, history and cultural facts, recommended immunizations, trip details and helpful tips to assist you in preparing for this experience of a lifetime. Purpose of the Trip
The purpose of this trip is to allow team members to experience firsthand Changing the World One Pair at a Time. Your work will focus on serving the needs of the orphans by providing individual attention in fitting them with clothes and shoes - the first pair many will own.
You will need to have a current passport by March 6, 2012. You will also be responsible for obtaining a visa for Tanzania in time for the trip. *A Soles4Souls representative will be assisting you with this process.

Fees Include
Roundtrip airfare between the distribution location (Tanzania) and predetermined departure (JFK). Shipping cost of shoes/clothes, lodging, meals, ground transportation, security, traveler’s insurance, supplies for various projects, cultural activities and welcome package.
Travelers are responsible for any costs associated with arriving at the predetermined departure location.
