General Information

Thank you for your consideration in participating in this service project focused on shoe distribution to the people in need. Our staff has worked well in advanced in these regions to select the safest accommodations and distributions sites.

Our strong relationships with National and American volunteers have provided many open doors for service throughout the countries. Our team will be supported with ample translators and security personnel during your stay. Your work will focus on serving the needs of the poor by providing individual attention in fitting them with shoes - the first pair many will ever own.

General Trip Information

  • What does the trip fee include?

    The trip fee covers all expenses except airfare to the distribution city. The fees includes lodging, meals, ground transportation, security, shipping cost for shoes to be distributed, DVD of your trip, and Welcome Package.

  • Is there a team size limit?

    Our preference is 15.

  • How soon should I make a deposit for a trip?

    Recommend at least three months in advance of the travel date you prefer.

Preliminary Passport, Visa, and Shot Information

  • Passport Information

    Mexico: A passport is not required at this time but is strongly recommended to present as your official identification. A valid driver's license and raised sealed birth certificate will also serve as a form of identification to cross the border. Honduras/Guatemala/Uganda: A valid passport is required for travel to these countries.

  • Visa Information

    A visa is not necessary for travel to Mexico. Visa documents will be provided by your airline for other destinations.

  • Shot Information

    There are no required shots for Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras - only recommended shots. It is recommended that everyone is current on their tetanus shot. This is also recommended for here in the U.S.

    Malaria is not recommended due to the short period in the country. The CDC only recommends this shot if your visit is in excess of 3 months.

    Stay current with required and recommended shots for Kampala, Uganda by visiting the Center for Disease Control website.

  • Age Requirements

    At this time, all participants must be age 16 or older.
