Waste Management of Tucson Announces Shoe Drive to Help Those in Need
Waste Management of Tucson will be collecting gently worn footwear to benefit Soles4Soles™, Inc.
“We can use the shoes taking up space in your closet to change the world one pair at a time,” said Soles4Soles founder Wayne Elsey. “It’s one of the most simple yet profound gifts you can make, because it will greatly improve someone’s life in the most difficult of times,” he said.
“Our community has come together time and time again to help those in need, and I’m confident we’ll do the same for this important cause” said Waste Management of Tucson District Manager Aubrey Waingrow.
Shoes can be dropped off between 9am and 3pm at the Waste Management office located at 5200 W. Ina Rd. (west of the I-10 on Ina Dr.). Shoes will be collected throughout 2009.
