Lexus of Nashville Announces Fundraiser to Benefit Shoe Charity
All Car Owners, Especially Lexus Owners, and Everyone Is Asked to Sponsor A New Pair Of Shoes for Someone in Need for $5.00

During this time of year, most people will spend hours critiquing their holiday "wish list" with the hopes of receiving that perfect gift. For some, it may be a new cell phone or new car, but for 1.5 billion people around the world their wish is for a single pair of shoes. For the first time ever, Soles4Souls, the international shoe charity is partnering with a car dealership and asking for all car owners to sponsor a new pair of shoe for $5.00 to help make some of those wishes come true.
“During the holidays, many people are reminded of the overwhelming needs of the global community,” said Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls, Inc. “But often times, people forget the importance of a single pair of shoes. It can mean the difference between a good education and none at all in most third world countries. Thanks to our friends at Lexus of Nashville for recognizing this need and helping us change the world one pair at a time,” he said.
From now till Feb. 1, 2010, Soles4Souls and Lexus of Nashville will be collecting monetary donations online through a unique fundraising website designed by Lexus at www.lexusofnashville.com. You are invited to visit the website and sponsor a child or person in need with as little as $5.00. The charity will use each and every dollar collected to make a tangible difference in someone’s life.
In addition, donors can drop off their monetary donations and/or “gently” worn shoes at both Lexus of Nashville locations. Lexus of Nashville South is located at 1636 Westgate Circle, Brentwood, TN.
