Kornfeld Foot and Ankle Partners with Shoe Charity to Help the Nepalese
Kornfeld Foot and Ankle Medical Wellness, a comprehensive holistic practice of Podiatry and Yoga Therapy, in Manhasset, and Soles4Soles are teaming up to raise awareness of Nepalese individuals who cannot afford shoes. They pledge to collect at least 1000 pairs of shoes between January 8 and February 6, 2010.
As part of the initiative, a yoga fundraiser, “One World, One Breath, One Pair,” will commence at 10am on February 6, 2010 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock. The three-hour program, lead by Amy V. Elias Kornfeld, MS, includes meditation, breath work, and a one-size-fits-all Anusara-inspired yoga class.
Suggested donation: $20 for adults, $10 for children. Funds collected support shipping fees for the shoes.
