Irvines' Pretend City Childrens' Museum Announces "Heeling Haiti"

Pretend City Children's Museum Announces “Heeling Haiti” Shoe Drive in Partnership with Soles4Souls Inc.

Pretend City Children’s Museum is partnering with Nashville-based Soles4Souls™, an organization that facilitates the donations of both new and used shoes, for “Heeling Haiti,” a shoe drive for Haitian relief. From February 14-28, Pretend City will serve as a donation collection point where local residents and museum visitors can donate new or gently worn shoes. There is an especially urgent need in Haiti for athletic shoes, work boots, flip flops and comfort shoes.

“It is our hope to help the Haitian people in their time of crisis by collecting much needed footwear to ensure their comfort, health and safety,” said Pam Shambra, president, Pretend City Children’s Museum. “The community can show its support for the earthquake victims by bringing new or gently worn shoes to the museum. This is also an excellent way for families to engage young children in philanthropy and charitable giving.”
