Clothes4Souls Collects New Clothing for Chilean Earthquake Victims

Soles4Souls® Clothing Division Clothes4Souls™ to Collect New Clothing for Chilean Earthquake Victims

Nashville, TN -- Clothes4Souls, a charitable division of Soles4Souls, announced today it is seeking donations from manufacturers and retail partners to provide new clothing to the victims of Saturday’s 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Chile.

“We are deeply saddened by the disaster in Chile.  We are encouraging manufacturers and retailers across the country to support the victims of the earthquake by donating new clothes from their inventories,” said Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls. “With the launch of our new division Clothes4Souls, we now have the system in place to do our part with the gift of clothing in the rebuilding process.”

Elsey is also asking individuals interested in helping the victims of Chile to donate funds online to aid in the relief effort.  Donations can be made at www.soles4souls.org.

The country of Chile was devastated Saturday by the earthquake with nearly 1,000 deaths already confirmed, and millions of people without water or electricity. This comes almost seven weeks after the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck the capital of Haiti, where Soles4Souls has committed more than 1.3 million pairs of shoes and other supplies.  More than 230,000 people were killed in Haiti and more than 1 million are still homeless.
