Soles4Souls at the Country Music Marathon

SOLES4SOULS TO PARTNER WITH COUNTRY MUSIC MARATHON

The Shoe Charity will collect shoes from runners and spectators at finish line

Nashville TN – Soles4Souls announces it will be present at Saturday’s Country Music Marathon to collect the gently worn shoes of the runners and spectators along with monetary donations at the race.  Soles4Souls is encouraging the general public to clean out their closets and come out to show support for friends and family while donating their unwanted shoes to people in need.  Soles4Souls will have shoe donation bins and an information booth set up at the finish line at LP Field to easily collect the shoes of runners as they reach the end of the 26 mile race.

The race begins at Centennial Park on West End and will continue throughout the city and conclude at LP Field.   Soles4Souls will also have donation bins at the registration table Thursday and Friday.

“We are excited to have a presence at the Country Music Marathon since the race is in our hometown,” said Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls, Inc. “I can’t think of a better way to conclude Earth Month than by asking the tens of thousands of marathon participants to recycle their worn shoes for a cause.  This initiative will not only help put shoes on the feet of the millions worldwide who need them, but it also furthers the global effort to reuse.”
