GALLATIN BUSINESSES AND SOLES4SOULS ANNOUNCE LAUNCH OF STAR OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD CHARITY DRIVE WITH STARKART
Did you know that there are 300 million children in the world who don’t own a pair of shoes? Well STARKART and their partners SPORTCLIPS HAIRCUTS, MS SUE'S SKIN CARE & MED SPA, PLANTATION FINE WINE & SPIRITS, AMBER LEAF, and NEWTON NISSAN are doing their part to help change this. STARKART and Soles4Souls, the international shoe charity, are teaming up this spring to help spread the word and raise funds for the millions worldwide without shoes. STARKART’s advertising partner in Gallatin announced it will collect donations for the charity through JUNE 2010.
“We are excited about our partnership with STARKART and their Gallatin partners,” said Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls, Inc. “A simple pair of shoes can mean the difference between a good education and none at all in most countries. For as little as 5 dollars, we can put shoes on the feet of two children,” he said.
