WASHINGTON, DC and NASHVILLE, TN – Soles4Souls Inc. announced a unique partnership with the Boys & Girls Club, a non-profit organization that offers vital resources and life building tools to underprivileged children living in Virginia.

Soles4Souls and the Boys & Girls Club are working together to promote "Barefoot Day," a community event and shoe distribution on Saturday, June 5, 2010.  This event provides an opportunity to serve the community by distributing new shoes to children served by the Boys & Girls Club of Dale City, Virginia.

"We are very proud to work with The Boys & Girls Club and be able to serve people in need," said Wayne Elsey, Founder & CEO of Soles4Souls.  "This event is an important part of our Barefoot Week celebrations, which are designed to bring communities together with the common goal of helping people when they need it most," he said.

The shoe distribution will be held at The Boys & Girls Club of Dale City, Virginia (located at 5070 Dale Blvd., Dale City, VA), and will begin at 9am and continue until 11am.

During Barefoot Week (June 1-7), Soles4Souls will be distributing tens of thousands of pairs of new shoes in the United States while it also collects "gently worn" shoes from the general public during thousands of concurrent shoe drives at retailers, schools, churches and community centers.

Celebrities are also lending their support of Barefoot Week in hopes of encouraging more participation with various Soles4Souls programs.  Donald Faison, star of ABC's hit comedy-drama "Scrubs," will be volunteering at the event.  Other celebrities who are publicly supporting Soles4Souls include Scarlett Johansson, Zach Braff, Antawn Jamison, Jessica Simpson, Kellie Pickler, Luke Perry, Riddick Bowe, Amy Grant and Chris Hope.
