Sportie LA Hosts MacBeth Launch Party

Sportie LA was the hottest place to be this past Saturday, July 24, 2010,  as Tom DeLonge of Blink 182 & Angels & Airwaves shoe company MacBeth Footwear held its fall fashion launch party. It was pumping party with music sets from DJ Skeet Skeet, Hi Deaf, Tom DeLonge and David Kennedy of AVA (Angels and Airwaves).

Fans of the band along with shoe shoppers joined in the fun with a little lounge area hosted by Honest Tea, food provided by Pizza Fusion and free giveaways from 98.7 FM. While everyone was enjoying the day, Dan Smith of the TLC show L.A. was working hard on creating a mural featuring an animated cat on the wall of the Sportie LA Store.

Aside from all the exciting party atmosphere, Cacee Cobb of the show "Jessica: The Price of Beauty" was there to bring a more humble philanthropic spin to the affair. Cacee represent the non-profit organization Soles4Souls, a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from the warehouses of footwear companies and donations from everyday people. The charity distributes these shoes free of charge to people in need, regardless of race, religion, class, or any other criteria. Macbeth Footwear was kind to donate 3 pairs of new Macbeth Footwear shoes to Soles4Souls for every MacBeth shoe purchase at Sportie LA that day.

Bringing more street edge to the celebrity fall shoe launch was Dan Smith of the TLC show "L.A. Ink." Dan used his creative wisdom by painting a cat on the Sportie LA building. Smith explains that the cat will be featured on a future Macbeth shoe real soon.
