Sporting Goods Retailer to Sponsor a Pair of Shoes for Charity for Every Pair Sold
Soles4Souls and Sport Chalet have given a new meaning to the term BOGO. They have joined forces to bring shoes to children across the USA. With 1 in 5 children in the US living below the poverty line, children are often forced to hang on to shoes long past the point of growing out of them.
Sport Chalet will help sponsor footwear to support Soles4Souls’ mission through their Buy One, Give One Campaign. Beginning October 4 through October 11, for every pair sold at one of their 55 locations, Sport Chalet will sponsor a new pair of shoes to be given to someone in need in the USA through Soles4Souls
Soles4Souls recently partnered with Sport Chalet during the month of January and collected more than 1 million pairs of shoes for the victims of the Haiti disaster. The Sport Chalet team is excited to extend their support of the charity with the BOGO campaign.
"Our customer's generosity exceeded all our expectations by donating over 1.2 Million pairs of shoes during the Haiti shoe drive last year," said David Hacker, Director of Marketing and Advertising of Sport Chalet. "Soles4Souls provides everyone with an opportunity to help others. That is why we are once again partnering with Soles4Souls in a new and unique way. This time around, for each new pair of shoes purchased in our store or online at sportchalet.com, we will be making a donation so that Soles4Souls can give a new pair of shoes to someone in need within the United States."
Soles4Souls has currently distributed more than 11 million shoes worldwide to people in need.
