Become a Participation Location
Partner with Soles4Souls on a year round basis by becoming an official participation location. Collect new or gently worn shoes and increase foot traffic to your business. Retailers Can Host a “Shoe Trade-in” Event

Soles4Souls is partnering with thousands of retail locations around the country to offer a “shoe trade-in” promotion. Customers who bring in a used pair of shoes to donate may receive an incentive (at the discretion of the store), such as a discount toward a new pair of shoes.
The retailer's benefits include an increase in sales as well as a tax-deductible receipt for the used shoes that are sent to Soles4Souls.

Steps to a Trade In Program
- Decide the dates of your trade in program – most retailers run for 3 to 4 weeks.
- Decide the percentage or dollar discount that you want to extend your customers. Our pre printed headers are printed as follows:
$5 $10 $25 10% 15% 20% - Contact Soles4Souls to get enrolled in the program. We will send a collection box, custom header, 25 brochures and mention your event on our web site. We also provide a Press Release and will distribute to the local media for you! Marketing is important for a successful event.
- You receive all materials for a nominal $25 fee to cover shipping and production costs.
- Marketing is key – a sample press release and digital image of our logo is available in the resources section of our website. Download the sample Press Release.
- We will ship the boxes and headers (pre-printed) with the percentage or dollar discount. Please keep in mind that these are only collection boxes and when they become full, simply empty into a shipping box.
- Do not refuse any shoes because you think they are too worn. Our warehouse will sort them and categorize appropriately.
- You may be asked the question – if I bring in 5 pairs of shoes, do I get the percentage or dollar amount off each new pair I purchase? This is your call, you can discount per new pair or on the entire purchase.
- Remember this is your promotion and you should feel proud that your company is participating in a great program to help the less fortunate.
- When finished with your promotion, simply box the shoes and ship to one of our warehouse locations.

We accept donations of worn and damaged goods, seasonal footwear and returns. Our 501(C)(3) charity offers you an outlet for these products with tax advantages for your company.
Store Competitions
Local/ National Retail Chains
Multiple stores holding a retail trade in event could encourage employee participation and friendly competition to have the most shoes collected, new customers, increased monthly sales, etc. with an award incentive.
One Store Retailers
Encourage a community wide event which could involve local schools and business to host a shoe drive in conjunction with your event. The organization which collects the most shoes will receive an additional discount (at your discretion) within your store.
